Our intimate Placerville wedding venue is perfect for small to medium sized parties with up to seven guest rooms available. We also offer elopement packages for any couple looking for a more private ceremony. Please fill out our Wedding Information Form to request more information!

  1. How many overnight guests can you accommodate at the inn?
    • The inn can lodge a maximum of 23 guests.
       
  2. How many people can you accommodate for the wedding ceremony and reception?
    • Typically, we can easily accommodate 60 guests. Under special situations we can accommodate up to 70 attendees, but that is the most guests we can comfortably support.
       
  3. Are the wedding ceremony site and the reception site separate?
    • They can be. There are basically two options:
      • One option is to convert the Wedding Pavilion into a reception site once the ceremony is over. It can usually be accomplished in 30 minutes. Guests typically move off to the pond area where a bar is set up with refreshments while pictures are taken.
      • Receptions can also be hosted at the front of the Inn on the paver patio which is separate from the ceremony site – this option is only available for Destination Weddings.
         
  4. Is your wedding venue covered in case of rain?
    • No, our wedding venue is not covered, and we do not have a covered option for large weddings. There a few sheltered areas that could be used with smaller groups if necessary, but when booking the venue, you need to understand that it is a rain or shine reservation.
       
  5. Can we have a wedding without reserving rooms?
    • Elopements and weddings under 30 guests are not required to reserve rooms. However, there is no changing room available and the wedding would be limited to be held between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
       
  6. Can we book the whole inn?
    • Booking the whole inn is the best way to host your wedding at Eden Vale Inn and a requirement to book a Destination Wedding package. You get a greater window, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., to host up to a six-hour wedding and more freedom on the grounds for your guests. This option does require a two-night minimum stay.
       
  7. What do we get for the wedding venue fee?
    • If you book the whole inn you get the most value. You will have access to the full property for you and your registered guests for the whole time you stay with us. During your wedding day, you and your invited guests will be able to enjoy the full property during your designated wedding time. If you only book some of the rooms you will get access to the wedding pavilion and specified garden areas but not the full property or the Inn’s common areas. 
    • In all cases we will prepare the Wedding Pavilion for the ceremony and then transition it to the reception site. The fee includes wedding day support, available on-site benches and tables, rustic bar table, parking attendant, caterer support, restrooms, and garbage removal. Clean-up is always the responsibility of the wedding party’s volunteers or vendors.
  8. Are there wedding rentals available at the inn?
    • The inn offers some rentals including linens (white), silverware, glassware & dishes. Call for current offerings and availability. We are adding items to our selection at all times.
       
  9. Can we get a discount for booking the whole inn?
    • We do not discount for booking the whole inn. You do get discounts for multi-night stays.
       
  10. Can we use outside vendors for our wedding?
    • Eden Vale Inn has a vendor list; however, you can use outside venders if you choose. An outside caterer must be used for the reception. We do require a list of all vendors being used for your wedding at least seven days in advance.
       
  11. Can we have a DJ or live music for dancing?
    • We do have a Sonos Sound system on-site in the Wedding Pavilion. The innkeepers can download a playlist from a USB flash drive to play during your ceremony and reception. Any DJ’s hired must adhere to community noise ordinance standards and we do use a decibel meter to ensure compliance when necessary. Live music is welcome but must be approved prior to the event date.
       
  12. Can we have non-guests visit the property before or after the wedding?
    • Outside of the time reserved for your wedding you cannot have non-guests of the Inn on the property unless you have arranged for it in advance. An additional charge may accrue depending on the situation.  Vendors are allowed on the property per the wedding event agreement, usually two hours prior and one hour after the event. 
       
  13. Can the Inn cater the reception?
    • We only provide breakfast for registered guests. You must use a caterer if you are holding a reception. You can use a caterer of your choice or we can provide you a list of local caterers.
       
  14. Can we bring our own alcohol?
    • You must purchase all wine from the Inn. All alcohol served at a reception must be served by a bartender or designated server of legal age.
       
  15. Can we smoke on the grounds?
    • We are a non-smoking facility and smoking is not allowed except in the Designated Smoking Area.
       
  16. How late are non-guests of the inn allowed to stay at the wedding reception?
    • Non-guests who are not part of cleanup must leave the property at the conclusion of the event.
    • Quiet hours begin at 10 p.m. and low lighting after 11.p.m
