Apple Hill Harvest

September through Thanksgiving

Apple Hill area farms and vineyards are a unique treasure. It’s harvest time for apples, wild berries, and pumpkins. Wine and music sunset concerts. Harvest dinners. Beautiful winding country roads. Sitting close to each other, in the fresh air, over hills of splendid orchards and vineyards.

Kids, couples, and grandparents can all find something to love at Apple Hill. It’s the best place for fall rural beauty, harvest fruits, bake shops, and rides and games! Kids love the pony rides, corn mazes, and homemade fudge. Couples love to breathe the romance that’s in the air in Apple Hill, especially at the area's special dinners, concerts, and wine events. And grandparents have a special place at Grandpa’s Cellar and all over Apple Hill. With over 50 ranches and stands to choose from, there is something for everyone. Apple Hill is just a short drive from Eden Vale Inn.

Top Four Apple Hill Recommendations

Apple Hill popularity has made crowds a problem, especially on October weekends.  So, if you can:

  • Come mid-week and save with our discounted room rates.
  • Visit in September.
  • Visit in November. The first three weeks are ideal. The crowds are gone, the harvest is all in, Indian summer lingers, and the fall colors are at their peak. This is the sweet shoulder season.
  • If you visit on a weekend, start your drive on the east end and travel back to the west against most of the traffic.

For Kids:
Over 15 locations have kid-specific activities. Anyone want to ride a pony? Get their face painted, ride a train, or delight in a petting zoo? Introduce your children to the Sierra Nevada foothills, nature trails, and “u-pick” berries and apples. Choose the perfect Halloween pumpkin together!
