“A real gem … Beautifully appointed.” … “Eden Vale Inn was a real find! We have been there twice and will be back. The Inn sits on 10 acres of lovely and whimsically landscaped property complete with a pond to row on or swim in…The innkeepers have spent 25 years taking a barn and turning it into a 5 room retreat…The bathrooms are state of the art, most with soaking tubs and the artwork throughout speaks of careful and tasteful collecting over the years…” Copied by Innkeeper ” All the details have been attended to inside and out…The breakfasts are delicious, ample, gourmet buffets prepared every morning. Mark and Gail are helpful and accomodating, but never obtrusive. Eden is a well chosen name for it feels like the Garden of Eden.” Posted on Trip Advisor October 10, 2010.
“The Eden Vale Inn, between Coloma and Placerville, CA, captured our hearts the moment we drove up the driveway. Upon entering the home you are immediately filled with a warmth and belonging. The history of the 20 year labor of love was so rich and the home’s lovely world collections are so artfully displayed… Restoring this BARN, was brilliantly executed in fine (custom, Craftsman, country, southwest, Tibetan, European, modern, fen shui) style. From the beautiful modern bath to the very comfortable bed, the large soaking tub outside our perfectly appointed room was the icing on the cake.” Copied by Innkeeper Oct 2, 2010.
“The gardens are amazing. Gayle’s plant knowledge and sense of decor, fills every pathway with a visual delight, pairing old and new finds, as decorations between all the fantastic foliage and fountains. The large horse watering trough” an original that came with the barn “at the lower back side of the house, has a flowing spigot, trickling into its reflective pollywog pool. The surrounding pastures of horses and ponies add to the lovely views. The use of bowling balls placed along the west fencetop is visually pleasing as it leads you up to the pond…”
“Oh and I have to mention the food! The chef and innkeeper, Kirsten, is such a culinary wizard. The amazing stratas, quiches, stollens, scones, fresh fruits and famous home made granolas are just a tiny taste of what she can do. The coffee and tea bar is excellent and that kitchen would make any famous chef proud. Way too cool of a custom cabinet job in there Mark.”

Gayle was very helpful and attentive and her breakfast was delicious. There is some thing here for everyone: from wine tasting to kayaking.”
Posted September 12, 2010 on Trip Advisor: “My husband found this wonderful Inn searching for a place to give me a relaxing stay away from our busy schedules. The rooms are just as beautiful as the pictures and the king size bed was very comfortable…” Copied by Innkeeper “The grounds had meandering paths with tranquil seating areas at every turn with bubbling fountains and unique garden art. My husband even took a swim in the crystal clear pond after wine tastings at nearby Placerville wineries…The breakfasts were like eating at a five star restaurant even catering to ANY diet preferences…Eden Vale Inn Bed and Breakfast is a place we would definitely stay again.” Couple from Turlock, California

“Lovely surprise at the end of the road to discover our own garden of eden…We must return to continue our exploration and enjoyment of the common areas and gardens…Care and thought has been given to every detail of the decor including very modern fixtures in the bathroom and lights on remote control with romantic ambiance setting. Loved the soaking tub on our private deck. Quality bath products and linens. The bountiful gourmet breakfast can be enjoyed inside or out. The hosts gave excellent suggestions for dinner and took care of the reservations…We usually stay at luxury hotels but were very pleased with this B&B.” Written by FiveStarGrandma and Copied by Innkeeper
